历史沿革

二十世纪六十年代

校前身最早是1963年由华侨管理委员会为澳大利亚、马来西亚、印度尼西亚等9个东南亚国家归国华侨创

办的武侨高中接收高中入学，孕育出侨乡学子的本科生 

二十世纪九十年代

1990年12月经广西自治区政府批准成立的南宁华侨投资区,该校改称如今的校名南宁华侨中学，被广西壮族自治区评为普通高级一级学校连年获得殊荣：1990、1991、1993年分别获得市级一等奖，1995、1996年分别获得市级二、三等奖，1992、1994、1997、1998年依次获得区级一、二、三、二等奖 

1992年12月,国营华侨高级中学（简称国营华侨高中）更名为南宁华侨投资区高级中学

学校师资力量较强，在职的115名教师中有广西21世纪园丁工程A类培养对象12人、南宁市教学骨干8人，国家级骨干教师教师培养对象1人，研究生2人，博士1人，其中专任教师97人（高中部46人，初中部53人），具有本科学历占96.6% ，中级职称以上占93.60%，毕业于广西大学、广西师范大学、广西师范学院、广西艺术学院、广西民族大学、广西科技大学等 

办学规模

华侨中学，学校占地面积450亩。多年来在党和政府的大力支持下，学校的教学设施日臻完善，实验室和教学仪器配备达到国家二类标准 ；体育设施齐全，器材充足，图书馆藏书9万多册，订有193种报刊、杂志，达到国家二类标准。2003年被评为自治区普通高中一级学校。拥有多媒体教室、音乐室、微机室、语音室、各学科实验室等功能室以及校园网、IC消费系统、广播系统等教学生活设施。2013年政府加大对该校的资金投入（预计投入3000万元），新建设综合教学楼、科技实验楼、宿舍楼、室内球馆不断完善教学设施。现有33个教学班，学生1424人，其中高中部13个班521人，初中部20个班903人，教职工121人，其中专任教师97人（高中部46人，初中部53人），中级职称以上占93.60% ，南宁市教育系统“教学骨干”8人
